The Safe Sharps Disposal Program is a partnership between the District and the Hendricks County Health Department that gives residents a safe, secure way to dispose of used syringes, lancets and other medical sharps.
The program keeps sharps out of the residential waste stream and protects solid waste workers and others from accidental sticks by providing residents with sharps containers that, once filled, can be returned to the Health Department and exchanged for empty containers.
If you are interested in the program, contact the Hendricks County Health Department for more information at 317-745-9222
