Adult Outreach
The District’s most critical role is to provide residents of Hendricks County with valuable and accurate information regarding the management of the solid waste we all generate.
The District receives many inquiries from people seeking information or advice regarding waste reduction, recycling, or how to properly dispose of an item or material. District staff is happy to answer questions from the public via telephone or email. Our Online Recycling Directory is a great resource for connecting residents with local reuse and recycling options and it’s available 24/7.
The District also reaches out to the community by providing workshops at the county fair, coordinating tours of local solid waste and recycling facilities, participating in clean-up events, and making presentations to groups. The message is always the same: we must all do our part to reduce, reuse, recycle, and properly dispose of the wastes we produce.
If your group is looking for a speaker or for more information, email Amy Sieferman, Outreach Coordinator.
The following links also provide information about steps each of us can take to reduce, reuse and recycle.
