The Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District recently partnered with Nextdoor, the free and private social network for neighborhoods, to increase communications with residents across Hendricks County. Local residents can now receive messages directly from the Solid Waste Management District and get updates on upcoming Tox-Away Days, recycling services and special events.
Nextdoor is a continuation of the Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District’s strategy to connect local residents with meaningful environmental education and services. Nextdoor has proven to be an essential and well-adopted tool for Hendricks County residents. Dozens of neighborhoods in the Hendricks County are using Nextdoor to connect with each other, and now the Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District will join that conversation.
“The District has always worked to connect residents with the waste management information and services they need,” said Lenn Detwiler. “With Nextdoor, we can quickly and easily communicate information to residents about upcoming projects, events and more.”
