The District’s Yard Waste Recycling Centers will again be accepting natural, undecorated Christmas Trees for recycling from Monday, December 19, 2016, through Monday, January 23, 2017.
The Yard Waste Recycling Centers are located in Brownsburg (90 Mardale Drive–map) and Plainfield (7020 S. County Road 875 East–map) and will be available 24 hours a day to accept natural, undecorated Christmas trees at no charge. The trees will ultimately be recycled into mulch so it’s important that all lights, ornaments and tinsel be removed. Trees sprayed with artificial snow are not accepted.
Our friends at GreenCycle-McCarty in Danville accept Christmas trees (and all other kinds of yard waste) from residents, year-round. Their facility is located at 494 S. County Road 200 East (map) and their phone number is 317-745-2000.
