Residents are encourage to help themselves to wood chips located at the District’s Yard Waste Recycling Center in Brownsburg (90 Mardale Drive). The center is open from 7am to 5pm on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Interested residents should be prepared to load the chips themselves. Questions can be directed to the Yard Waste Recycling Center attendant on those days when the location is open (317-858-8231) or to the District’s administrative office during normal business hours (317-858-6070).
The chips are generated by the Town of Brownsburg through the town’s curbside limb pickup program and work great to limit weeds and grass in areas where they are not desired. The chips are not a uniform color or size.
